Enhancing Health of
the Community and the Region

PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital was founded in 1922 by Scottish Missionaries. The ownership of the hospital was transferred from the Church of Scotland to the Presbyterian Church of East Africa in 1956. From 1969-1975 the hospital had major redevelopment leading to a new
hospital adjacent to the old hospital.

The old hospital buildings were taken over by the Clive Irvine College of Nursing which was started in 1951 and named in honour of the hospital founder Dr. Clive Irvine.
